another day, another cafe

so here's a short message cause i haven't posted in a while. i've discovered in the past two weeks one of the singular joys of studying abroad. it's...wait for it... meeting people from other countries. ok, i'm not being sarcastic. one of the things i've discovered to be a lot of fun is talking with people from other cultures about the differences. my new friends and i..that's pretty much always do. we can talk for hours about these things. this, to be honest, was not something i thought of before i considered coming to france. meeting new people, yes. but the conversations we would have are fascinating. who knew?

another thing i've discovered this week is coffee. have begun to drink and am actually beginnign to enjoy it. who knew?

and why the fuck does drinking here give me such HORRID hangovers?

last night at the bar my freind neel (she's dutch) and i started talking to this french man. thinking back on it today i am horribly embarressed by my french. because i was drunk i had no qualms about speaking french to him. now today, i'm trying to remember the words i said to him. pretty embarrassed because i'm positive i forgot past tense completely. i must have sounded like an idiot. like a drunk idiot, nonetheless.

i need to find a less popular cafe.
